Do you know you can use the Function keys to work with the Command prompt?
It could be very useful when you are working on the Command prompt and you have ran several commands (sometimes dozen of them) to use the “F” keys to work with all of these commands quickest and easiest:
F1 – Retypes the previous command one character at time
F2 – Brings up a dialog and asks “Enter the char to copy up to:”
(use to improve your Spanish jajajaja)
If the last command executed by you was nslookup yahoo.com and you enter “.” it will display nslookup yahoo
F3 – Retypes the last command in full
F4 – Brings up a dialog and asks “Enter char to delete up to:”
F5 – The same than F3 but in this case each time you click on the key you will be moved to the next command in the session history
F6 – Print EOF character (Ctrl+Z)
F7 – Brings up a dialog of all the recent command history
Move along the list with arrow keys and click Enter to execute one of the commands.
F8 – Brings up each of the most recent commands, one at a time
F9 – Brings up a dialog and asks “Enter command number:”
